Born and raised in Lindsay, California, Joe Soria is the proud son of immigrant farmworking parents who instilled in him the value of hard work, perseverance and the importance of being civically engaged. Education has always played a major role in his life. Joe graduated from UC Berkeley and obtained a masters in teaching from USC.
With the goal of making his community a better place, Joe returned to his hometown where he coached youth sports, served as a librarian and taught in a 3rd and 4th grade classroom. Currently Joe works in the transportation industry and has started a small business that he runs with his wife and 3 kids. As a truck driver Joe knows how to deliver. His passion, work ethic, and commitment make him an ideal representative for the people of Tulare County.

Vision for District 1
Born and bred in District 1, I am a product of Tulare County. Picking oranges at a young age in the fields with my parents and sisters taught me to appreciate the role every individual plays in the success of our communities.
When elected, I will deliver opportunities for growth in our communities. I will ensure the vulnerable populations have the resources they need to prosper and I will fight for clean water and air. As a servant of the people, I will deliver accountability and transparency. It’s time a blue collar voice sits on the Supervisory Board of Tulare County. My dream is that the county leadership reflects the population as a whole.
